TP Health wrap up Wellness Week in schools
As part of Healthy Eating Week, TP Health has gone back to school. Wanting to give a little back to our local community, our Health Trainers visited local schools to deliver full-day workshops on health, nutrition and physical exercise.
Their interactive-learning classes focussed on physical activity and what “eating right” looks like, with advice and tips on nutrition. Our specialist health and well-being experts talked to the kids about healthy routines, picking healthier options and portion sizes.
We are huge believers in education, self-care and taking responsibility for your own health, so it was brilliant to see the primary school children understand how exercising and eating well can benefit their physical and mental health. Using what they learnt, they got creative, imagining their own healthy recipes!
But knowledge is important for everyone, no matter your age. In fact, optimal nutrition is proven to enhance cognitive function, energy levels, disease prevention and overall mood. To be at our best, we do not just need to exercise, but we need to be eating the right foods, including a healthy balance of proteins, carbohydrates, fats and other micronutrients.

P.S. The kids we worked with last week really set the bar in terms of creative feedback!
